Should I come back to Square Enix? To Final Fantasy?

A few weeks ago I was talking with my friend and he mentioned that I should get Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and join up with his guild. Me and my friend go way back with mmorpg's. We spent a lot of late nights partying in Valkurm Dunes in Final Fantasy XI and plenty of time raiding in World of Warcraft. FF:ARR though is a little different.

I have been hesitant to try it out because of the horror that was Final Fantasy XIV. From what I have heard was that it has been fixed and is better than ever.

I have watched YouTube videos, looked at the classes and other elements to the game and I am very impressed with what I've seen. My question now is, do I take that chance again? Do I go back to the mmo genre with Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn?

Since I haven't been playing any mmo's recently, I've been working more on my blog novel, side novels and vlogs but I fear I may slow down progress on my work if I decide to turn back to my old mmo habits.

They say all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Perhaps I could test this out and see if I can multitask these things together.
